Hong Kong, China, 6 May, 2008 - Leading total solutions provider, Excelpoint Systems (H.K.) Limited and Telepath Technologies Ltd - a company that complies with the China domestic specification, China Multimedia Mobile Broadcasting (CMMB) have jointly announced that both parties have signed the strategic distributorship agreement which Excelpoint will now have the distribution rights to Telepath Technologies’ silicon solutions and products in the Asia Pacific region.

Limited Chief Operating Officer, Mr. David Kok said, “Our collaboration with Telepath Technologies will further hone our competitive edge in the area of hand phone solutions while consolidating our leading position in the hand phone terrain. Using Telepath Technologies’ low energy consumption and high capability modulating silicon chips, users of Excelpoint’s mobile TV handheld device will be able to enjoy a prolonged viewing time of television programmes. Moreover, as Telepath Technologies’ silicon solutions and products comply with the CMMB transmission standard while supporting an easy assimilation of the dual functions of the mobile television and hand phone, it can be used to receive mobile multimedia broadcast in not just hand-held devices, but in other modes like personal media players or portable digital devices as well. Hence, beside the mobile TV domain, our R&D will be developing this CMMB to other segments like automotive electronics with more multimedia devices for our customers, to help them shorten their time to market coupled with their price leadership, helping them to gain their competitive edge in the market.”
